How to Solve Your Problems and Make MORE Money

Somedays it feels like it is all too much being an entrepreneur.

I get it.

You want freedom and to create a business you love, but there is also the practical side of things which is that you need to be making money. Too many entrepreneurs give up on their dreams because it just feels too out of reach. They can’t seem to earn what they want or need on their own.

Problems around running a profitable business to maintain your desired lifestyle denies you of the reason you wanted your own company to begin with.

You want to go on vacation, but you can’t because you’re stuck working.

You can’t invest in savings, because there is a risk you could lose your money.

You can’t afford to send your kids to college.

The list goes on and on. The list of problems can go on and on.

DONT SEE YOUR PROBLEMS AS PROBLEMS, SEE THEM AS OPPORTUNITIES.

Think about how this works. “I can’t go on vacation because I’m stuck working” is now “I want to go on vacation and I want to free up some working hours.” Now you can ask, “How can I free up some time and make my business run more independently and efficiently without me so that I can take a few weeks off?”

Look for the opportunity to better your business and get to take your vacation. You are in a state where you know what you want is possible and you are looking for the solutions to make it happen instead of wallowing in a pity party. No one wants to come to a pity party. You don’t even want to come to your own! Another reason why thinking about problems in this way, gets you nowhere.

WHEN THINKING ABOUT AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE MORE MONEY, CREATE A PLAN.

If you know the goal is more money, commit to a number. Let’s say you want to gross $12,000.00 a month. And let’s say you are at $9,000.00. Do the simple math to see that you have a $3,000.00 gap. Then, you can ask yourself how many more products/services you need to offer based on your business model and how much you need to charge to get there. This basic model is a great way to get you focused. It creates a plan and all that is left is the execution.

People often let all sorts of factors come into the equation, especially with excuses of why it can’t happen. They also get overwhelmed by making it too complicated!

GET SUPPORT FROM OTHERS AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Talk to people and get educated about how to get what you want. It is likely that others have walked in your shoes. You are not the first person who is trying to grow a business, sell a product, or be a coach who makes a great income.

Get some support to move yourself forward. In addition to being a money coach, I am a real estate investor. Recently, a few opportunities have presented themselves for me to make more money. I saw them as a problem at first because I would need a certain amount of cash to make the deals. I saw risks where I could potentially lose money.

By speaking with other experts and walking through the steps, I saw ways to take on this new venture. Granted, I could lose money, but it isn’t likely if I take the proper steps to weigh out the variables and have support from mentors with experience. If I do lose, I can see it as another opportunity to grow.

USE FRIENDS OR BUSINESS COLLEAGUES AS ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNERS.

By meeting with others about your goals and opportunities one to two times per week, you have someone in your camp who can constantly make sure you are sticking with your plan. It also feels great to help others with their goals as well. This partnership won’t cost you a dime and can make all the difference in you increasing your income to your desired amount.

ENTREPRENEURS NEED TO TAKE CHANCES AND BE EXCITED BY THEM.

Don’t see the all the variables as problems, see them as opportunities. Break down the opportunities and create clear manageable goals with a plan and action steps. Then, talk to people and get advice to support you.

Educate yourself with experts so that you feel more confident about the risks you take. Work with friends or business colleagues to make sure you fulfill your goals.

Embracing all of the opportunities and doing away with the word “problems” is a great start to putting MORE money into your bank account. Instead of fearing the challenge, get excited about how you can bring your business forward and put MORE money in your pocket!!!
